“Green” Wood
“Green” wood waste is generated from various arbor
operations such as tree trimming for utilities, for parks
and recreations areas, along roads and streets, and land
clearing for development. This material is recycled in
such forms as logs for production of lumber,
landscape wood chips for moisture retention and weed control
and firewood. Much of the wood is also recycled into process
steam and heat for schools and businesses and electricity
for use by all.
MMR is in position to provide a green solution to disposal of wood waste, saving
space in landfills and providing one more use for waste wood. Working with MMR is
a means for business and industry to participate in an environmentally sound reuse
of wood, a renewable resource.
